It has been a few years since we migrated to the consent.js files which can be found in your Embed section of your domain. We have still supported the use of banner.js which has options from our Javascript api to control banner language detection etc but all of these options are now added inside in our settings for the cookie banner.
To continue the our efforts in making our cookie banner faster and more maintainable we are depreciating the support of the banner.js embed.
Direct Embedding
Customers that are directly embedding the code in to their websites <head> section should login to CookieFirst and get the consent.js - embed code from their domain settings and replace the legacy banner.js file.
Google Tag Manager
For a seamless integration with the cookie banner, Google Consent Mode v2 and Google Tag Manger please refer the following article on how to implement it for your website.
Shopware
Customers using Shopware 5 & 6. Should update to the newer plugin versions that can be downloaded here
WordPress
Customers that have been using our WordPress plugin but didn't upgrade it to latest version might still be using our banner.js as well. These users should install our WordPress directly from the plugins directory or look for CookieFirst. Download the plugin from the official directory.
